Graphics Communications Instructor

About the role

The Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) seeks a motivated, innovative, and student‑centered individual to join its Graphic Communications Program as a nine‑month faculty member. This position blends teaching, student recruitment, advising, and program development to strengthen enrollment and student success across Eastern Arkansas.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a variety of graphic communications and design courses, including Graphic Design, Digital Photography, Digital Imaging, Typography, Publication Design, Web and Interactive Design, and Graphic Communications Production.
• Recruit prospective students and maintain strong relationships with area high schools and community partners.
• Advise students toward degree completion and support their academic progress.
• Coordinate adjunct faculty, assist with academic scheduling, and contribute to program development initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated passion for teaching and student success in graphic communications or related fields.
• Ability to build and sustain partnerships with high schools, community organizations, and industry stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills for managing course schedules, adjunct faculty, and program initiatives.
