Graphic Designer – Child‑Friendly Illustrations (Contract)

About the role

The Office of the Special Representative on Violence Against Children seeks an experienced graphic designer to create child‑friendly illustrated materials. This remote, nine‑month contract will support the production of reports, infographics and educational resources aimed at empowering children worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and illustrate 12‑page child‑friendly versions of the mandate’s reports for the Human Rights Council and the UN General Assembly.
• Create a set of 12 illustrated infographics that educate children on violence prevention and protection.
• Collaborate with UN staff, child‑led networks and other stakeholders to ensure content is culturally appropriate and accessible.
• Adapt complex human‑rights information into clear, engaging visual formats for diverse audiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in art, design, illustration or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional illustration experience, including children’s book illustration.
• Experience working on development or human‑rights projects, preferably with protection entities.
• Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
