Graphic Architectural Designer – Electronics Team

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Graphic Architectural Designer to join its Electronics Architectural Team in Portland, Oregon. You will work closely with the Architectural Lead and a multidisciplinary group of engineers to shape early‑stage concepts and produce detailed construction documents for cutting‑edge micro‑electronics facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Architectural Lead in developing conceptual and schematic site and building layouts.
• Create diagrammatic and presentation graphics that illustrate complex systems, interdependencies, and design options.
• Drive rapid‑prototyping sessions to explore design alternatives.
• Manage and organize large, multi‑discipline reports, ensuring clear formatting and graphic consistency.
• Prepare construction documents using Revit, following best practices for both 3D and 2D deliverables.
• Advance workflows, tools, and design‑automation processes.

Required profile

• Experience in site master planning, conceptual architectural layouts, and production of construction documents.
• Strong visual and aesthetic sense with the ability to translate ideas into clear graphics.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
• Proactive communication skills to engage with project leadership and multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit for 3D modeling and 2D documentation.
• Experience with graphic and architectural design software (e.g., emerging design tools, presentation graphics).
• Knowledge of rapid‑prototyping techniques and design‑automation concepts.
