Graduate Assistant – Criminal Justice Department

About the role
The Graduate Assistant will support the School of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, working 20 hours per week during normal business hours. This temporary, fixed‑term position provides hands‑on experience in clerical and research activities while pursuing graduate studies.
Key responsibilities
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
- Assist faculty with research projects, including literature reviews and data collection.
- Support departmental events and meetings by preparing materials and coordinating logistics.
- Maintain reliable attendance and contribute to a collegial work environment.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Regular admission to a graduate degree program.
- Ability to work 20 hours per week with consistent attendance.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
