Google DevOps / SRE Engineer

About the role

This position focuses on building and maintaining a secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support enterprise applications and meet SLA requirements. You will work with Infrastructure‑as‑Code, automation, monitoring, and global teams to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a resilient, secure cloud‑hosted platform that meets established SLAs.
• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise servers, network infrastructure, and cloud architectures using Terraform, Ansible and GitLab.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional, globally distributed teams to troubleshoot issues, automate processes, and influence architectural decisions.
• Configure and tune cloud tools, manage cost, security, and compliance for the Boeing Cloud environment.
• Create and maintain environment‑specific alerts and dashboards using Google Cloud Monitoring.
• Monitor site stability, resolve performance incidents, and conduct post‑mortem analyses.
• Document systems, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship (no visa sponsorship).
• 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, GitLab) in GCP environments.
• 5+ years developing software products on cloud platforms, with deep focus on GCP.
• Strong experience designing GCP architectures, including multi‑cloud and microservices patterns.
• Solid understanding of GCP networking (VPC, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, VPN).
• Knowledge of GCP security best practices (IAM, encryption, compliance frameworks).
