Global Sourcing Specialist – Aircraft Systems

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking a Global Sourcing Specialist to lead aircraft systems sourcing for its New Product Introduction supply chain. The role requires deep knowledge of aviation supplier ecosystems, FAA certification processes, and Tier‑1 OEM requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design engineering, supplier quality and production procurement to create long‑term sourcing plans that improve quality, delivery and cost.
• Establish and maintain relationships with global aircraft‑systems suppliers and track emerging technologies such as advanced avionics and fly‑by‑wire components.
• Define operational strategy for New Product Introductions, ensuring supplier capabilities meet airworthiness requirements.
• Conduct market research, organize Design for Desired Attribute (DfX) projects, and develop Statements of Work and RFP packages.
• Drive milestones, manage lead‑time improvements and execute supplier audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Materials Science or related field.
• 5+ years experience with aircraft‑systems parts or managing suppliers of these parts.
• Working knowledge of aerospace manufacturing techniques and experience with medium to large aerospace OEMs.
• Comfort with dynamic, high‑pressure environments and frequent changes in direction.
• Experience developing and executing category sourcing strategies.

Required skills

• FAA regulatory compliance (TSO authorization, PMA, DO‑160/DO‑178).
• AS9100 quality standards and traceability.
• Supplier audit execution.
• Market research and technology scouting.
• RFP development and Statement of Work creation.
