GIS Analyst II

About the role

We are seeking a GIS Analyst II to support enterprise GIS operations for a large power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. This 24‑month contract role involves querying, analyzing and visualizing spatial data to meet business, engineering and operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze spatial and attribute data to support planning, operations, and decision‑making.
• Produce complex maps, reports, and visualizations for internal stakeholders.
• Support ongoing GIS projects, including data updates, application enhancements, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and other business partners to interpret requirements and deliver GIS solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance and documentation standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues related to GIS applications and datasets.
• Assist with integration of GIS data with other enterprise systems as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Geospatial Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of professional GIS experience.
• Proficiency with ESRI GIS tools such as ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Portal.
• Strong understanding of spatial data models, coordinate systems, and SQL querying and databases.
• Experience in data validation, quality control, and metadata management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

• Pay rate of $28.00‑$33.00 per hour (W2)
