Generative AI Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a senior Generative AI Engineer to lead the design and delivery of cutting‑edge AI solutions. The role is based in Kansas City, MO, with a hybrid schedule requiring two days on‑site each week. You will work closely with product and data teams to turn AI concepts into production‑ready prototypes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop proof‑of‑concepts (PoCs) for generative AI applications, including large language models (LLMs) and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG).
• Design and implement agentic AI frameworks that automate decision‑making workflows.
• Build and maintain robust Python APIs for AI services.
• Deploy solutions on Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform, ensuring scalability and security.
• Integrate workflow automation and document‑intelligence capabilities into enterprise processes.
• Collaborate with banking/financial services stakeholders to address AI governance, risk, and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering.
• Proven expertise in generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI frameworks.
• Strong background in Python development and API design.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure and/or GCP cloud services.
• Experience delivering AI PoCs and automating document‑centric workflows.
• Preferred experience in banking or financial services and familiarity with AI governance, risk, and compliance.
