General Warehouse Associate (Friday to Sunday)

About the role

HD Supply is hiring a General Warehouse Associate to work Friday through Sunday in a distribution center in Burlington, NJ. The associate works across several departments, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing and replenishment, and operates material handling equipment to move inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment to locate and deliver products, supplies and equipment to designated areas.
• Assist with staging and loading orders into trucks for customer delivery.
• Verify the quantity and quality of incoming products from vendors and distribution centers.
• Use packing list information to collect items for customer orders, including building and wrapping pallets.
• Inspect stock for wear and defects and notify management of inventory issues.
• Return misplaced products to their proper storage areas.
• Maintain a clean working environment in line with company safety policies and perform inventory control as needed.
• Refer complex or unusual problems to the supervisor and exercise judgment under general supervision.

Required profile

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods; no travel required.
• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred; specialized skills training or certification may be required.
• Generally 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Preferred: prior experience in multiple departments of a distribution center, operating material handling equipment, and understanding written material.
