About the role
Under broad supervision, the General Trades Tech III performs a variety of semi‑skilled and skilled building‑trades work in the repair, maintenance, or construction of state facilities, including the East Central Regional Hospital.
Key responsibilities
- Perform building‑trades work for repair, maintenance, and construction of state buildings and related structures.
- Install and maintain security, climate‑control, and other facility systems.
- Provide 24‑hour on‑call availability as needed.
Required profile
- High school diploma/GED plus three years of experience in building repairs and maintenance, or two years at the lower‑level General Trades Tech II.
- May require area‑specific certifications or licenses.
Required skills
- Building repairs and maintenance.
- Installation and upkeep of security and climate‑control systems.
