General Merchandise Department Supervisor

About the role

Meijer is hiring a General Merchandise Department Supervisor for its store in Marysville, Michigan. The supervisor plans, directs and supervises team members in the day-to-day operations of the General Merchandise departments, acts as mentor and coach for all team members, and helps drive store sales while keeping service fast and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in the daily operations of the General Merchandise departments
• Serve as mentor and coach for all team members
• Implement strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales while meeting customer needs
• Maintain store appearance, product presentation and merchandising standards during prime shopping hours
• Keep the sales floor well-stocked and organized

Required profile

• Current or previous leadership experience in retail, merchandising, inventory management, customer service or store operations is preferred
• Experience leading teams, managing stock levels and driving sales results is a plus
