General Mechanic (Full‑Time)

About the role

Kemp Quarries is seeking a safety‑sensitive General Mechanic to perform repairs and maintenance on automotive engines, small engines, diesel vehicles and equipment such as Bobcats. The role ensures all mechanical work is completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, pre‑shift inspections and repairs on company equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain housekeeping of plant, equipment and work site, and complete required paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Follow all safety, environmental and regulatory procedures, including MSHA guidelines.
• Lift and move objects up to 75 lb occasionally and 50 lb frequently, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of mechanical experience with a good safety and attendance record.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work in a team, perform heavy labor and adapt to flexible schedules, overtime and weekends.
• Willingness to work outdoors in extreme weather and near light or heavy equipment.
