Aggregate Quarry/Plant Leadman

About the role

The Aggregate Quarry/Plant Leadman supervises a safe and efficient hourly workforce at Kemp Quarries' Pryor site, ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct MSHA‑regulated workplace exams, pre‑shift equipment inspections, and validate labor hours.
• Report equipment usage, plant production, and oversee pit/plant operational efficiency.
• Coordinate daily duties of labor force, facility maintenance, product quality control, and continuous improvement.
• Lead weekly safety toolbox talks and document all equipment repairs.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience in aggregate mining operations with knowledge of blasting, crushers, screens, and conveyors.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; CDL a plus.
• Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
• Willingness to work varied schedules, typically day shift.

Required skills

• MSHA certification (to be obtained).
• Operation of heavy equipment and mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with iPad and iPhone applications.
