General Manager – Verona (Santa Monica relocation)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a General Manager to oversee two or more stabilized apartment communities in Verona while residing in Santa Monica. The role involves leading property operations, financial performance, and compliance for a portfolio of 739 units.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of 2+ assigned properties, ensuring budgeted financial and operational goals are met.
• Lead, coach, and develop a large on‑site team to deliver high‑quality resident services.
• Prepare, monitor, and adjust budgets; analyze financial statements; set rent rates and ensure timely rent collection and bank deposits.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify certificates of insurance, code charges correctly, and manage petty‑cash expenditures.
• Oversee lease enforcement, including application approvals, renewals, inspections, evictions, and collection of late fees.
• Maintain compliance with Greystar policies, Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA and other multi‑family housing regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of community manager experience with responsibility for a large team.
• Extensive experience in financial management, budgeting, and rent roll oversight.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA and other relevant housing laws.
