General Liability Associate Attorney (Texas)

About the role

Wilson Elser’s Tyler office is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex civil defense matters across general liability, insurance defense, and related practice areas. Ideal for an attorney early in their career looking to develop expertise in a collaborative, nationally recognized firm.

Key responsibilities

• Assist on litigation matters at all stages of the case lifecycle.
• Represent clients in a wide range of civil defense litigation.
• Collaborate closely with other attorneys and partners on case strategy.
• Conduct court appearances and take depositions.
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing status updates and strategic recommendations.
• Prepare discovery requests, objections, responses, and related motions.

Required profile

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in the state of Texas.
• At least 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in general liability, construction, premises, products, transportation, employment, or insurance defense.
• Strong communication, writing, analytical, and research abilities.
