GenAI Engineer

About the role

Infosys is seeking a GenAI Engineer to join its Topaz AI‑first suite, focusing on generative and agentic AI solutions. The role will involve building, testing, and operationalising advanced models that drive business value across multiple US locations.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, transform, and prepare data from relational databases for model development.
• Develop statistical and machine‑learning models, including deep‑learning and large language models, using tools such as SAS, R, and Python.
• Collaborate with technology teams to operationalise models into analytics tools or scripts.
• Test, validate, and select the best‑performing algorithms based on statistical and business metrics.
• Participate in advanced analytics projects, including prompt engineering and conversational AI development.
• Support UI/UX development for client‑facing applications and monitor model performance.
• Identify and mitigate risks or compliance concerns related to AI solutions.

Required profile

• Experience with data extraction, transformation, and preparation.
• Familiarity with statistical modelling and machine‑learning workflows.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional technology teams.
