Funding Assistant

About the role

Medallion Bank is seeking a Funding Assistant to support the daily operations of its Recreation Funding team in Salt Lake City. This hybrid position combines administrative oversight of loan files with coordination between internal specialists, dealers and financial service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Recreation (REC) Funding queue, assigning loan files to Funding Specialists to ensure timely processing.
• Coordinate communications with dealers, financial service providers and internal teams.
• Organize, save and maintain loan‑related documentation and records.
• Handle department email correspondence professionally and promptly.
• Review reports, identify discrepancies and assist in issue resolution.
• Cross‑train as a Funding Specialist to provide operational coverage as needed.
• Support departmental reporting and special projects.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in administrative, operations, banking, finance, loan processing or customer service.
• Experience in lending, funding, consumer finance or a banking environment is a plus.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
