About the role
The Miami Herbert Business School invites applications for a full‑time Lecturer in the Department of Business Law, beginning Fall 2026. The post‑holder will teach undergraduate core courses, with a focus on law and business communication, and will not be required to develop new syllabi.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver instruction for eight courses (approximately 24 credits) per academic year, in person.
- Lead class discussions, design and grade assessments, and hold regular office hours.
- Calculate and submit student grades in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Department Chair and faculty to update coursework and support departmental goals.
- Participate in departmental and school‑wide meetings and adhere to established protocols.
- Stay current in the field of business law; research is encouraged but not mandatory.
Required profile
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.
- Ability to teach law and business communication courses with high proficiency.
