About the role

Join Restaurant Associates as a Food Service Worker in the heart of New York City. You will be part of a team that prepares, presents, and serves food for banquet, catering, and corporate dining events, ensuring a high‑quality experience for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure ingredients according to recipes.
• Transport pans, kettles, and trays safely between work stations, stove, and refrigerator.
• Store food following proper wrapping, dating, rotation, and safety procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain hygiene standards.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards for quality, temperature, and portion control.
• Serve customers courteously and efficiently, handling concerns and escalating when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, inventory, and cash control procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in banquet service, catering, corporate dining, fine dining, or hospitality.
• Ability to work full‑time, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours.
• Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
