Full‑Time English Instructor

About the role

Atlanta Technical College is seeking a Full‑Time English Instructor to teach General Education English and Humanities courses. The position reports to the Dean of Academic Affairs and is based on the Atlanta Tech campus just south of downtown.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in English and humanities courses, following approved syllabi.
• Assess student learning outcomes, maintain grade books and related records.
• Advise and counsel students, maintaining appropriate advisement records.
• Participate in student recruitment, job placement activities, and serve on committees as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in English.
• Minimum one year of directly related work experience (teaching or related).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Compliance with Technical College System of Georgia policies and accreditation standards.

Required skills

• Experience with BANNER student information system.
• Familiarity with Blackboard learning management system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of student learning management systems and English instruction methodologies.
