About the role

Join Santander’s North Toms River branch as a Full‑Time Teller, providing essential banking services to customers in a fast‑paced environment. You will be the first point of contact, delivering exceptional service while safeguarding the bank’s assets.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, minimize wait times, and assist with deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other transactions.
• Handle cash accurately and maintain balanced cash drawers.
• Follow all bank policies, compliance, and risk‑management procedures to prevent fraud.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and refer appropriate product solutions.
• Educate customers on digital self‑service tools and encourage their use.
• Support custodial duties, audits, and other operational tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area to create a welcoming environment.
• Assist nearby branch locations when business needs require.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of cash‑handling experience.
• Minimum 6 months of customer‑service experience.
• Strong communication, listening, and problem‑resolution abilities.
• Ability to follow directions, policies, and procedures.
• Comfortable using digital tools and technology.
• Energetic, organized, and able to multitask in a changing environment.
• Willingness to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings.
