About the role
The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join the Progressive Care Respiratory department in UTower. The Staff Nurse will provide direct patient care, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and educate patients and families.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care following the nursing process and standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to evaluate and coordinate patient treatment.
- Conduct patient and family education on respiratory care and recovery.
- Document care activities accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN acceptable with 2 years to complete BSN).
- Valid Florida Registered Nurse license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum one (1) year of medical‑surgical nursing experience.
