Full-Time Phlebotomist & Specimen Processor – Primary Care

About the role

This position supports patient care by performing a range of laboratory functions, including phlebotomy, specimen accessioning, processing, and distribution. The role is essential to the Primary Care department, ensuring timely and accurate handling of specimens for testing.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct phlebotomy procedures and process incoming specimens.
• Accession, label, and distribute specimens to appropriate testing areas.
• Support departmental goals, resolve problems, and adapt interactions to diverse patient populations.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent; completion of a phlebotomy course preferred.
• No prior experience required; current phlebotomy license or trainee license preferred.
• Strong computer and data‑entry skills, proficient with Windows applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication, knowledge of venipuncture procedures, and strong interpersonal skills.
