The University of Miami/UHealth is seeking a full‑time Pharmacy Technician 2 to support medication preparation and dispensing at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. The role works under the guidance of a pharmacist and involves both technical and patient‑service responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, input, and verify prescription, refill, and patient information while maintaining accurate records.
• Assist pharmacists in filling orders, preparing labels for unit doses and pre‑packaged pharmaceuticals.
• Receive, stock, and manage incoming medical supplies and drugs.
• Participate in basic compounding activities and support training programs.
• Mentor less‑experienced technicians and serve as an informal resource.
• Adhere to university policies, safeguard assets, and contribute to cross‑training initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State of Florida Pharmacy Technician certification.
• Minimum three years of relevant pharmacy technician experience.
• Strong data‑entry skills with minimal errors.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and communicate effectively.
