About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time pharmacist to join its UHealth Tower team. This position plays a critical role in delivering high‑quality pharmaceutical care within a hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Compound and dispense prescribed medications, ensuring accurate dosages and proper labeling.
• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, suitability, and potential drug interactions.
• Provide drug information and counseling to healthcare staff and patients.
• Maintain detailed pharmacy records, inventory logs, and controlled‑substance registries.
• Conduct drug utilization reviews and monitor prescription trends to promote patient safety.
• Adhere to university, state, and federal regulations and quality standards.

Required profile

• Pharm.D. degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Florida pharmacist license.
• Minimum of one year of relevant pharmacy experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and sound clinical judgment.
