Full-Time Patrol Driver Security Officer

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Security Officer who also drives a patrol vehicle in Irvine, California. The officer serves and safeguards clients across a range of industries, including residential communities, by conducting routine vehicle patrols, keeping a visible presence to deter security incidents and responding to alarms and resident concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential apartment community.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying the right people or emergency services as site procedures direct.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking facilities, leasing areas and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, verifying visitor, vendor and delivery access.
• Prepare accurate reports and keep clear communication with site management, residents and Allied Universal leadership about incidents, observations and daily activities.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Valid driver's license in line with Allied Universal driver policy; required for driving positions only.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Preferred qualifications

• Alarm panel experience.
• A Guard Card or license.
