Full-Time Morning Security Guard - Health Facility Patrol

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time morning security guard in Chula Vista, California, to patrol a healthcare facility. The unarmed patrol officer conducts routine patrols, keeps a visible presence to deter security incidents and supports a welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff, while providing customer service and clear communication.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies and other critical situations, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the healthcare facility, parking areas, entrances and surrounding perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in line with site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents and concerns accurately and promptly, and share relevant information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of security-related experience; customer service experience preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing requirements may apply before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
