Full-Time Instructor - Automotive Technology

Atlanta Technical College seeks a dedicated Full‑Time Instructor to teach Automotive Technology on its main campus in Atlanta. The role involves delivering high‑quality instruction, mentoring adult learners, and supporting program accreditation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update course syllabi, goals, and objectives in line with curriculum standards.
• Deliver classroom and lab instruction using effective adult‑learning techniques.
• Assess student progress, maintain grade records, and provide academic advising.
• Enforce strict safety protocols in the lab and manage supplies, equipment, and budget requests.
• Maintain program certification requirements and ASE certifications.
• Participate in staff development, recruitment, retention, and job placement activities.
• Serve on college committees and foster relationships with industry partners.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive Technology diploma from an accredited post‑secondary institution.
• Current ASE certifications and willingness to keep them up to date.
• Ability to advise, counsel, and maintain accurate student records.
