About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a reliable Full‑Time Forklift Operator for its 3rd‑shift team at the Colonial Heights, VA service center. You will work Monday‑Friday from 2:00 AM to 10:30 AM, handling freight safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Move various types of freight in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long.
- Operate a forklift on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock.
- Load and unload trailers while following safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records by reading manifests and using computer displays.
Required profile
- Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
- Dependable and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must have prior forklift experience, preferably in a high‑volume setting.
- Basic computer interaction skills for reading manifests.
