Full-Time Dishwasher

About the role

Join the Bon Appétit team as a full‑time dishwasher, supporting a high‑volume kitchen in a modern, sustainability‑focused restaurant environment. You will work on‑site at the BlackRock location in Hudson Yards, ensuring all dishware and kitchen equipment are clean and ready for service.

Key responsibilities

• Scrape, rinse and load dishes, pots, pans, and trays into the dishwasher or wash them by hand according to established procedures.
• Operate and monitor dishwashing machines, maintaining proper temperature and chemical levels.
• Polish silverware using burnishing machines, chemical dips, and hand‑buffing techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dish area, worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food‑prep surfaces.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, remove trash, and clean garbage cans.
• Assist with loading and unloading supplies, and transport equipment between storage and work areas.
• Follow all safety and sanitation standards throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Availability to work flexible shifts, typically from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
• No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate dishwashing equipment and related cleaning tools.
