Full-Time Day Registered Nurse – MACU

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical‑Surgical Acute Care Unit (MACU) on a full‑time day schedule. You will provide patient‑centered care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure safe, high‑quality clinical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in partnership with patients, families, physicians, and support services.
• Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments, including functional and nutritional screenings.
• Utilize evidence‑based tools to identify nursing diagnoses and develop individualized care plans.
• Deliver treatments, medications, and education while maintaining safety and timeliness.
• Delegate and oversee support‑service staff, ensuring accountability and quality.
• Reassess patient progress, modify care plans as needed, and document thoroughly.
• Engage patients and families in care decisions and discharge planning.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Louisiana RN licensure.
• Preferably at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, collaborative, and compassionate.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
