Full-Time Chauffeur

About the role

Experience Senior Living is looking for a full-time Chauffeur to support its senior living community in Fort Collins. The driver takes residents to social events and other destinations, assists them safely, and helps connect residents as they move from home to community.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the vehicle from the community to social and other destinations according to the assigned schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of the vehicle safely, and secure wheelchairs to restraining devices during trips.
• Practice safe driving at all times and deliver groceries and other belongings to residents' apartments.
• Clean and service the vehicle, report and coordinate maintenance repairs, and run daily and weekly trip inspections and preventative maintenance records.
• Help the Resident Experience Department with activities and programs, and submit travel expense charges to the business office daily.
• Handle emergencies and basic first aid, report unsafe conditions to the Executive Director, and keep a safe driving record.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or 1 to 3 months of related experience and training, or an equivalent combination.
• Five or more years of driving experience and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance.
• Commercial driver's license; able to drive a 7- to 16-passenger bus, a limousine or car, tire-changing equipment, a wheelchair lift and dollies/hand trucks.
• Able to perform minor on-road repairs such as changing tires.
• Knowledge of all streets within an 8-mile radius of the community.
• Willingness to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings and holidays.
