About the role
The University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College seeks a full‑time Assistant Teaching Professor to lead its Diesel Technology program. You will deliver high‑quality instruction to associate‑degree and certificate students, fostering both theoretical understanding and hands‑on skills.
Key responsibilities
- Teach courses such as Basic Diesel Technology Diagnostics, Diesel Fundamentals Theory, Power Trains, Air‑Conditioning Systems, and Servicing of Tractors and Trailers.
- Develop curriculum, labs, and assessment tools aligned with industry standards.
- Provide mentorship, academic advising, and support for student projects and internships.
- Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation activities, and community outreach.
Required profile
- Relevant academic credentials (e.g., Associate’s or Bachelor’s) in Diesel Technology or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the post‑secondary level.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success.
