Full Stack Software Engineer (II-III), Elixir

About the role

True Anomaly builds autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software and space-based interceptors for space superiority. It is hiring a Level II-III Full Stack Software Engineer who will own challenging greenfield problems in satellite command and control, mission planning, mission data processing and data analysis. The role is onsite, near Denver, CO or Long Beach, CA.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and sustain satellite command and control, mission planning, mission data processing and data analysis software systems using Elixir
• Take part in team collaboration on architecture, design and code reviews
• Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines

Required profile

• Elixir software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar discipline, or relevant experience
• Proven experience developing resilient and fault-tolerant architecture
• Demonstrated leadership ability, strong written and oral communication, and aptitude for cross-disciplinary work
• Experience debugging and solving problems in live systems
• U.S. citizen eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance

Required skills

• Functional programming in Elixir, Erlang, Clojure, Haskell, Ruby or F#
• Front-end experience
• Preferred: deep understanding of Elixir and OTP (BEAM scheduling, GenServers, run queues, pg or the Actor model)
• Preferred: React, TypeScript, React Three Fiber/three.js, OAuth2 and role-based access controls
• Preferred: PostgreSQL, MySQL, distributed-systems monitoring and tracing

What we offer

• Base salary of $115,000 - $165,000, depending on level, skills, education, location and experience
