Full Stack Developer II (Java) – Hybrid, Rockville, MD

About the role

LCG is looking for a Full Stack Developer II with Java expertise to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications for federal clients. The position is hybrid in Rockville, MD, requiring three days onsite and occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑level client/server and web applications using n‑tier architecture.
• Translate technical designs and business requirements into functional code.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and provide application support.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, developers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Review code, give technical feedback, and ensure compliance with development standards.
• Manage configuration, version control, and use development tools for evaluation and testing.
• Stay current with new technologies, frameworks, and design patterns.
• Travel as required to support client and project needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 2 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a comparable software development role.
• Experience designing and building enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, unit testing, debugging, and configuration management.
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
