Full-Day Float Pool Respiratory Therapist – Day Shift

About the role

This position provides comprehensive respiratory care, including oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric. The therapist works on a full‑day float pool schedule during day shifts, delivering both routine and advanced therapeutic procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing and ventilation support to in‑patients and out‑patients of all ages.
• Monitor and wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation.
• Draw, analyze and report arterial blood gases and EKGs.
• Deliver intermittent therapy and assist with changing artificial airways.
• Educate patients and the healthcare team on procedures and treatment plans.
• Document all clinical information for each patient encounter.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience.
• Current state license as a respiratory therapist.
• National Board certification (CRT or RRT).
• BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications obtained within 90 days of hire.
