Endocrinologist (Physician) – Board Certified

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Endocrinologist to join its growing endocrinology program in Lafayette, Louisiana. The position offers the chance to focus on pituitary disorders, endocrine malignancies, and endocrine complications related to cancer therapies while working within a compassionate, inclusive team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a specialized clinical focus in pituitary disease and endocrine oncology.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to treat complex endocrine conditions.
• Participate in clinical research and serve as an investigator on clinical trials.
• Perform ultrasound‑guided thyroid fine needle aspirations (FNA) and interpret continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data.
• Interpret thyroid ultrasound and bone density studies.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology.
• Interest and experience in pituitary disorders, endocrine malignancies, and cancer‑related endocrine complications.
• Willingness to engage in teaching and mentorship of residents and medical students.

Required skills

• Ultrasound‑guided thyroid fine needle aspiration (FNA).
• Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) interpretation.
• Thyroid ultrasound interpretation.
• Bone density interpretation.
• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record platform.
