Frontend Developer (React.js) – Chicago

About the role

We are looking for a Front End Developer to join our engineering team in Chicago. You will work on modern, responsive web applications using React.js and JavaScript, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Build reusable components and front‑end libraries for future projects.
• Translate wireframes and mockups into functional user interfaces.
• Integrate front‑end code with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications in an agile environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional front‑end development experience.
• Strong expertise in React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and handling asynchronous data.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Ability to work effectively in agile or scrum teams.
