Front Office Manager

About the role

The Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Baton Rouge is seeking an energetic, customer‑focused leader to oversee its front desk operations. As Front Office Manager you will train, coach and mentor staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences while ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily front desk activities, guaranteeing efficient check‑in/check‑out and guest satisfaction.
• Resolve guest issues with win‑win solutions and empower staff to do the same.
• Implement and maintain procedures that exceed guest satisfaction metrics.
• Ensure all front desk team members are trained on hotel policies, brand standards and customer service.
• Recruit, mentor, train and support front desk personnel, fostering a strong leadership pipeline.
• Oversee financial controls for cash, vouchers, inventories and receivables, producing accurate reports.
• Maintain accurate personnel files in compliance with local and federal regulations.

Required profile

• Customer‑oriented leader with strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in hotel front‑office operations and staff management.
• Ability to train, develop and motivate a diverse team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to compliance and financial accuracy.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel front‑office procedures, including check‑in/check‑out, room allocation and billing processes.
