Front of House Manager – Book Tower

About the role

Method Co. is seeking a dynamic Front of House Manager for its Book Tower location in Detroit. The role combines hands‑on leadership with strategic oversight of restaurant operations, financial performance, and guest experience. The ideal candidate will blend operational discipline with an intuitive sense of hospitality to create an engaging, high‑functioning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse front‑ and back‑of‑house team while fostering a culture of hospitality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring consistency and excellence across service, food, and beverage.
• Maintain and elevate service standards in line with the Method Co. brand.
• Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless FOH/BOH collaboration.
• Own and manage P&L, budgeting, and forecasting; drive revenue through programming and operational efficiency.
• Monitor labor, cost of goods, and key metrics to ensure profitability.
• Champion an exceptional, personalized guest experience and handle feedback promptly.
• Recruit, train, retain top talent, and provide ongoing coaching and performance management.
• Collaborate with marketing, events, and hotel leadership to support programming and uphold the design integrity of the space.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in high‑volume, upscale or fine‑dining restaurants.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive strong financial performance.
• Deep understanding of food, beverage, and service standards.
• Strong operational acumen with experience managing P&L, budgeting, and forecasting.
