Front-End Developer (TS/SCI Clearance)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a talented, detail-oriented Front-End Developer to build intuitive, responsive and accessible user interfaces for its web applications. The role suits someone passionate about user experience, design systems and modern front-end technologies. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using modern front-end frameworks.
• Collaborate with UX/UI developers and back-end developers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Translate design mockups and wireframes into clean, efficient code.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability and accessibility, and implement responsive designs across devices and screen sizes.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and maintain code quality through testing and reviews.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, design or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 5 years of experience.
• TS/SCI Full Scope Poly clearance required.
• Attention to detail and a passion for clean, maintainable code.
• Exposure to Agile development environments.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3, Python, C++, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Modern frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Version control (e.g. Git).
• Preferred: design systems and component libraries, WCAG accessibility knowledge, performance optimization and analytics tools, 3 years of AWS cloud development experience.
