Front End Developer – Raleigh, NC

About the role

The NCDIT‑T Web Systems Team is looking for a Front End Web Designer/Developer to support UX design and front‑end development for enterprise web applications and sites built for NCDOT and NCDMV. The role is based in Raleigh, NC and requires on‑site presence to collect equipment and attend meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Create, update, and refresh web component and UI prototypes.
• Develop accessible HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript for content‑management systems and enterprise products.
• Ensure consistency of user interfaces across NCDIT Transportation projects.
• Perform training sessions and webinars for business customers on created apps, sites, and tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate front‑end solutions with SAP, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and other systems.

Required profile

• Local to the Triangle region of North Carolina.
• Minimum 5 years of professional JavaScript/TypeScript experience.
• At least 3 years of Vue.js development experience.
• Strong background in web performance optimization and WCAG 2.2+ accessibility.
• Experience with modern build tooling (e.g., Vite) and state‑management patterns.
