Freelance Production Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Freelance Production Assistant to support a leading fashion brand in New York. This hybrid position blends remote work with on‑site collaboration to ensure new styles move smoothly from concept to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Design and Fabric teams to track fabric, trim, and wash development and manage approvals.
• Monitor weekly factory production reports, flag delivery risks, and maintain the TNA calendar.
• Communicate daily with internal and external partners on style development, production, and delivery timelines.
• Manage sample tracking, send PDM packages to vendors, and track shipments.
• Maintain accurate costing records and oversee the end‑to‑end purchase order process with Merchants and MOS.
• Collaborate with leadership on garment costing, production planning, sourcing, and delivery timelines.
• Interpret data, identify issues, and proactively communicate with stakeholders.
• Prepare agendas and participate in cross‑functional meetings.
• Support additional production‑related tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in production or product development.
• Experience with PLM systems.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PLM tools.
• Google Workspace (Docs, Gmail) expertise.
• Advanced Excel skills.
