About the role
3M is seeking a Fraud Investigator to lead and support complex fraud investigations across the organization. You will work on a project‑driven environment, collaborating with senior leadership and other investigation functions to protect the company’s assets.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple sensitive fraud investigations simultaneously.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data and related documentation.
- Conduct investigation interviews independently.
- Prepare clear, concise investigation reports and present findings to senior management.
- Develop tactics, recommend control improvements, and mitigate identified risks.
- Communicate investigation learnings to senior leadership.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (completed prior to start).
- Minimum five years of experience in forensic accounting, investigations, or a similar role within private, public, government, or military settings.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Willingness to work onsite at the Maplewood, MN location at least four days per week.
