Foundry Production Supervisor – Tyler, TX

About the role

The Foundry Production Supervisor leads hourly teams to safely and efficiently produce high‑quality cast iron products across multiple foundry operations in Tyler, Texas. This position plans and executes production schedules, oversees quality and cost control, and ensures compliance with safety policies.

Key responsibilities

• Champion a safe work environment, enforce PPE usage, and maintain clean work areas.
• Direct, coach, and develop hourly team members to meet safety, training, quality, culture, and production standards.
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate work to meet schedule commitments and achieve efficient run rates while managing labor cost per ton.
• Supervise production activities across melting, molding, finishing, and pipe operations, troubleshoot equipment issues, and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain production and quality standards; support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Maintenance to inspect, repair, and maintain equipment to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and authorize timekeeping, complete production logs, and maintain operational records.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Four (4) or more years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing with strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of foundry operations (melting, molding, finishing, or pipe production) preferred.
• Secondary schooling in an engineering field preferred.
• Consistent attendance, punctuality, and ability to work assigned shifts, including 1st and 2nd shift as needed.
• Willingness to wear required PPE and follow safety rules at all times.
