Founding Mobile Engineer (React Native)

About the role

Nectar Social is building an AI‑native social operating system that connects brands with communities through authentic interactions. As a Founding Mobile Engineer, you will own the mobile experience, shaping the architecture and delivering AI‑powered features to iOS and Android users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship a React Native application for both iOS and Android from the ground up.
• Establish mobile architecture patterns, shared components, testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and performance standards.
• Integrate with external social APIs (TikTok, Meta, Instagram) and e‑commerce platforms such as Shopify.
• Build real‑time, data‑intensive features that surface AI insights and enable agent interactions.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and founders to define product experience and technical implementation.
• Ensure reliability and performance through monitoring, error tracking, and optimization.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in React Native.
• Proven track record of shipping high‑quality production mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, navigation, state management, and platform‑specific considerations.
• Comfortable working across the stack in a fast‑moving startup environment.
• High ownership mindset, bias toward action, and ability to operate in ambiguity.
