Founding Marketer

About the role

We are seeking a Founding Marketer to shape the brand and go‑to‑market narrative of Nectar Social, an AI‑native social commerce platform. As the first marketing hire you will own the end‑to‑end marketing function and work directly with the founders, GTM leadership, and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve Nectar’s brand, positioning, and category narrative across website, social, sales collateral, decks, and press.
• Build and run the content engine: blog posts, customer stories, launch announcements, thought‑leadership pieces.
• Drive product marketing for new launches, including messaging, naming, packaging, launch motion, and adoption programs.
• Partner with founders on PR, analyst relations, and earned‑media moments to create category‑defining narratives.
• Design and execute a high‑signal demand‑generation engine covering SEO, email, paid experiments, and lifecycle campaigns.
• Plan and manage event strategy, including hosted dinners and presence at NRF, Shoptalk, Cannes Lions, and executive roundtables.
• Develop sales enablement materials, customer case studies, and competitive narratives to accelerate enterprise deal cycles.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to translate roadmap into compelling external stories.

Required profile

• Proven experience building a marketing function from the ground up, preferably in a fast‑moving SaaS or consumer brand environment.
• Exceptional storytelling and copywriting skills, able to craft narratives for diverse audiences.
• Comfortable executing both strategic initiatives and tactical tasks such as writing launch posts, briefing designers, and planning events.
• Strong collaboration skills to work closely with founders, product, and sales teams.
• Passion for AI‑driven social commerce and community‑centric marketing.
