Founding Engineer – Infra & Backend

About the role

Spur is building autonomous browser agents that act as AI QA engineers, helping digital teams ship with confidence. As the founding infra/backend engineer you will design and scale the core platform that runs thousands of web agents daily, working directly with the founders.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, build, and operate the infrastructure that powers Spur’s browser and web agents.
• Design, implement, and maintain clusters, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and deployment processes.
• Scale systems to launch thousands of agents each day while ensuring reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership to iterate quickly on infra solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience designing, shipping, and operating large‑scale infrastructure.
• Deep expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to work autonomously, drive projects end‑to‑end, and make decisions that impact product performance.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and passion for building high‑impact systems in a fast‑moving startup.
