Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Normal Computing is building an AI‑powered EDA platform that unifies the silicon design lifecycle. As a Forward Deployed Engineer you will embed with customer design teams, adapt the platform to their data and workflows, and ensure the system delivers reliable, production‑grade results.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve production issues across the platform, model, data, and customer environment.
• Design and run evaluations against real customer workflows to validate generated artifacts.
• Integrate Normal’s platform with each customer’s design flows, tooling, and infrastructure.
• Translate silicon team constraints into model and platform requirements and feed this signal back to Normal’s research and product groups.
• Post‑train and continuously fine‑tune models on‑premise using proprietary customer data, building continual‑learning loops.
• Make strategic decisions on feature scope, prioritize work, and codify successful patterns for future deployments.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to track down issues across hardware and software stacks.
• Comfort working directly with customers, understanding their design challenges, and communicating technical solutions.
• Experience debugging distributed systems and building production‑grade software features.
• Ability to balance short‑term delivery with long‑term product vision.
