Forward Deployed Engineer - Finance

About the role

NVIDIA Finance is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer and AI Enabling expert embedded in the Finance AI team. The role sits at the intersection of many finance functions, data platform teams and applied AI, partnering with finance leaders, data scientists, data engineers, DevOps engineers, AI citizen developers, knowledge workers and external vendors. It is a hands-on position moving from an ambiguous business problem to a working prototype, a production solution and sustained adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Translate complex finance workflows and ambiguous business problems into requirements, technical designs, success measures and delivery plans, guiding architecture across data, models, APIs, orchestration, UX and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Prototype and productionize AI solutions such as agents, retrieval-augmented generation, workflow automation, analytics and ML applications.
• Partner with data owners and platform teams to securely integrate structured and unstructured data, set access controls and improve data quality and lineage.
• Lead complex initiatives from discovery to launch, balancing experimentation with enterprise scale, security, governance and maintainability.
• Build reusable reference architectures, patterns and enablement assets, and share recommendations, trade-offs and results with finance operators, executives and engineers.

Required profile

• 3+ years in computer science, data science/engineering, analytics, automation or applied AI.
• BS or MS in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong product and program judgment, including defining an MVP and managing dependencies and risk.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, privacy, security and governance; ability to teach technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence across functions without formal authority.
• Experience applying AI, automation or advanced analytics to tax, corporate development, treasury, venture capital, financial services, procurement, audit or related areas, and designing agentic workflows connected to systems such as SAP, SFDC or Workday.

• Hands-on Python, SQL and Git
• Databricks or a comparable cloud data and AI platform
• Building and deploying modern AI: LLMs, prompt/context design, agents, MCPs and evaluations, integrated via APIs

What we offer

• Base salary of 116,000 to 184,000 USD for Level 2 and 152,000 to 230,000 USD for Level 3, depending on location, experience and market pay.
